easyGym is an energetic gym brand that forms part of the well-known easyGroup. The gyms offer the latest classes with premium equipment and exceptional coaching in modern spaces adorned in the iconic bright orange! Furthermore, as a franchise, easyGym presents an excellent commercial opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs.
EasyGym France had completed the designs and HTML implementation for their new website but were looking for an experienced digital agency to deliver the CMS integration.
The easyGroup brand boasts 90% brand recognition across Europe. However, the gym and health club market is fiercely competitive and so, it was critical for easyGym to effectively market their gyms. The target demographic is primarily young people and, subsequently, digital marketing would play a key role in reaching their target market. Therefore, easyGym required a CMS that provided a flexible content editing experience for the marketing team at easyGym France, enabling them to deliver an engaging digital experience that galvanises users into signing-up for membership. Furthermore, the website needed to highlight the benefits of becoming a franchisee.
Given our experience in web technologies, easyGym appointed CSI Media to deliver the CMS integration for the website. We carefully listened to the client's requirements and proposed Umbraco - a suitably powerful and flexible CMS - as the perfect solution for easyGym.
easyGym chose six components for the new website; a hero image, two variations of teaser panels, a location list, a text/image component, and a widget component. The Umbraco CMS includes a Content Builder tool which gives the marketing team at easyGym the ability to place these components in any order on pages.
Furthermore, the marketing team will have the ability to easily update content within these components, whether it’s attention-grabbing titles for special offers, image and text combos in fitness blogs, or cool hero images of members pushing their bodies to the limit! The team can also update content for UI elements including icons and call-to-action buttons… the nice little touches that give the brand its energy.
Umbraco’s flexibility means that easyGym can also create pages to appeal to potential franchisees. The new website and CMS come as part of the franchise package, so entrepreneurs have a strong digital foundation to build on and promote their new gym.
As part of the project, we also completed a Technical SEO audit of the front-end implementation. Our team are currently in the process of re-writing the front-end build to incorporate our recommendations including minified JavaScript, Critical CSS and lazy loading, to further boost organic performance.
easyGym have commissioned CSI Media to deliver a complete re-design and rebuild of their UK franchise websites. Furthermore, we will be developing an online booking process for all gyms.
