Fred. Olsen Travel is one of the largest and longest-running travel companies in the United Kingdom. Their portfolio comprises of 14 sub-brands including Adventure Tour Holidays, Fred Discover and Far Horizon, each aimed at different target markets. For example, the inspirational Travel Quest showcases a range of high-quality cruise and tour packages.
Fred. Olsen Travel required a new, multi-site platform to showcase each of their 14 brands. They requested a new design which could be easily adapted for each of their 14 brands; whether it be a change in colour scheme, layout or features. Mobile and tablet devices accounted for a large proportion of visitors to Fred. Olsen Travel's portfolio of websites and, therefore, they wanted a responsive website. Also on their wish list was a content management system for control over their 14 websites, as well as the ability to distribute products from a central pot of products, to any of the 14 brands.
